Koko was out very first Griff, bred by Sherry and Dean Peterson. She came to us at 8 weeks old, and we were sure she was the most perfect dog in the whole world! We were astounded by her intelligence, temperament and hunting abilities. She was the beginning of our love affair with this breed. As new NAVHDA members, we had no idea what the Natural Ability test was about, and entered her after she had only 1 exposure to birds and little water experience. To our amazement, she landed a NAT Prize III, 83 pts! This was on 4/25/2004. On 5/15/2004, we ran her again after giving her some exposure to water and bumpers. She then earned a NA Prize II, 107 points! Koko was the dam to our first litter, the Park litter. She was WB at the 2007 AWPGA National, owner handled. After producing four beautiful litters, Miss Koko is retired and enjoying being the Matriarch of our Griff tribe.

Koko is an excellent hunter, and has truly amazing natural ability. She constantly wants to please her master, making training very easy. Koko is AKC pointed (conformation) and is very true to type. She is, however, a Tom-boy, and would rather hunt any day of the week. We will be working to convince her the show ring can be fun too!
